The 7th International Marine Debris Conference (7IMDC) launched its Call for Abstracts and Posters on 31 March 2022, with a closing date of 6 May 2022.

Poster proposals were submitted towards one of the 9 different Tracks listed on the Technical Sessions page. All poster proposals submitted to the conference were reviewed on their merits, clarity of contents, and relevance to the greater marine litter and plastic pollution community.

Accepted poster proposal authors kindly uploaded posters via ExOrdo by September 18, which were displayed in the conference’s poster hall (for in-person attendees) and were featured during the poster night event. Posters were also available for viewing online (for in-person and online attendees) through the conference app, after it went live in early September.

Posters will only be displayed if at least one author is registered for the conference. Posters with at least one author attending in-person were displayed in the poster hall at the conference center. Posters with at least one author attending in-person or online were displayed online through the 7IMDC app (and associated website). A status list of all posters is provided at this link – please note that if your poster was not printed by the 7IMDC team, you will need to bring your own.

Posters printed by the 7IMDC Team were on a hard board backing made of recyclable material using eco-friendly inks. Presenting authors are welcome to take these posters with them, though the posters will not roll-up as is typical.

A Guidance Document for Posters has been prepared and emailed to authors with accepted posters separately, but is also available here.
